JATA Tourism Forum & Travel Showcase 2012

Short name for the public: JATA Travel Showcase or Tabihaku

Purpose

The original purpose of the exhibition was to promote demand for travel and it has now grown to become one of the largest tourism events in Asia today. In 2012, the Tourism Forum & Travel Showcase will be the flagship event in the travel and tourism elements including symposia and business meetings catering to the industry, creating opportunities where you can have realistic experience of the appeal of travel integrated with consumer-oriented events and displays.

General Public Adults: 1,200 yen, Students:600 yen

An advance ticket …Adult 1,000yen, Student:500yen

*Admission is free for children and students through high school accompanied by an adults.

Event Format

  1. JATA Tourism Forum 2012
    Targeted at those who are in the travel and tourism industries inside and outside of Japan, providing opportunities to discuss and learn about marketing in the tourism industry including Japan.
  2. JATA Tourism Award /Tour ・Grand-Prix
    Recognizes a corporation, organization or individual who has contributed to destination promotion or travel demand as well as the best travel product among overseas and domestic travel products for individuals.
  3. JATA Business Meeting 2012
    Provides a space for information sharing and business meetings between exhibitors and travel agencies, contributing to promotion of the industry through planning and development of various travel products.

    • Exhibitors (Sellers') visit desks of the buyers from all over Japan.
    • In the media meeting, desks will be set up for media representatives.
    • Setting desks for overseas buyers where sellers enable to visit them.

  4. JATA Travel Showcase 2012
    Exhibits from 140 countries, regions and travel companies, directly delivering all the information on travel including the latest travel information from countries and how to enjoy trips.
